To support the Government of Malawi in the management of migration in a safe and orderly manner and address migration relation challenges and opportunities.
Malawi is a country of origin, transit, and destination for migrants with a complex migration context. These range from internal to cross-border migration determined by factors such as economic opportunities, social, and environmental factors. Malawi hosts refugees and asylum seekers originating from the Great Lakes region and the Horn of Africa.
